The House of Spike and Opal

So anyhoo....

My paypal was hacked into and my checking account depleted...

My mom is in the hospital and just keeps getting worse by the day. She was in a room for three days right across the hall from where my dad died last year. It really felt weird to be there again. My dad's favorite nurse was there to take care of my mom so that was quite a relief....

BUT..... I have fun things to talk about too...

I went to the last LMN-O-Pea retreat!! I wish there was another one this weekend, because I sure could use another vacation!

I am usually not very productive at retreats, but this time was different. Here are a few pics of what I accomplished...

I also won a prize! This was my contest entry, and me winning first place....

This is me with the "peas". We played a game where whenever you finished a project you took possession of these cute little ladies. If you had them when Michelle or Nicole looked for the peas you won a prize. We had lots of fun passing those around.

Here are a few more pics from the retreat. Like my pink shirt? Michelle and Nicole gave me one for teaching the LMN class. I love it! Sorry Jessica, I could not resist posting the picture of you with the ear plugs up your nose!

I have lots of great new pictures of my precious nephew Jeffrey. I will be back!

Oh one more thing. My new favorite quote from Yves Saint-Lauren....

"We must never confuse elegance with snobbery."
